Terms and Conditions

These Terms are a contract between you and Syntrixo ("we", "us"), the operator of IQScores at iqscores.org (the "Service"). The operator's full identification (name, tax ID and address) is in the legal notice, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, creating an account or purchasing a membership you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

IQScores provides an online cognitive self-assessment (the "IQ test"), score reports, a personalised certificate, additional assessments, training games and puzzles. It is intended for entertainment and personal development.

The result is not a clinical or psychometric diagnosis. It is not equivalent to an intelligence test administered by a qualified psychologist and must not be relied on for medical, educational, employment or legal decisions.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a membership. By purchasing you confirm that you are.
• You must give a valid email address that you control. Login links and receipts are sent there.
• Keep your login link and any password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

3. Free test, trial and membership

Taking the test is free. Viewing the detailed result requires a paid membership, which works as follows:

• Trial: $1.00 gives you 3 days of full access, starting when payment is confirmed.
• Automatic renewal: unless you cancel before the trial ends, the membership continues automatically and you are charged $14.99 every 7 days until you cancel. Each renewal is charged to the payment method you used for the trial.
• Statement descriptor: charges appear on your card statement as SYNTRIXO.
• Cancelling: you can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, from your account page or through the public cancellation portal, which needs only your email address. Cancellation takes effect immediately for future charges; your access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
• Confirmation and receipts: after purchase we email a confirmation with the trial end date, the renewal price and frequency and the cancellation link, and a receipt for every charge. You may request an invoice at any time.
• Price changes: we will tell you by email at least 14 days before any change to the renewal price. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.

Prices are charged in euro to customers in the euro area and in US dollars elsewhere, at the same figures, and are total prices including any applicable VAT. Your bank may apply a currency conversion.

4. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Your result and report are digital content delivered immediately. At checkout you are asked to expressly request immediate access and to acknowledge that, once your result has been displayed, you lose the right to withdraw in respect of the trial fee. You may still cancel the membership at any time to stop future renewals.

Renewal payments and refund requests are handled as set out in the Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that you have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. By purchasing you authorise us and our payment processor to charge the trial fee and each renewal to your payment method. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and suspend access until it succeeds.

6. Your data

We process your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

7. Intellectual property

The test items, scoring, reports, certificate design, games, puzzles, text and software are owned by Syntrixo or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. Your certificate is issued to you personally and may be shared; it may not be altered.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, publish or resell test items, answers or other content;
• use bots, automation or multiple accounts;
• attempt to bypass payment, access controls or rate limits;
• use the Service in a way that is unlawful or that harms other users or us.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, add or remove features. If we withdraw a feature that is central to the membership, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Apart from the obligations set out in these Terms and any rights you have under consumer law, the Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that a score is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data, and our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country; if you live in Spain, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction. Before starting any legal action, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter; official complaint forms are available on request.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you by email or with a notice on the site at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
